I just finished the home renovation and I am very happy now that after some tedious and careful planning, engineering and architectural works, all things are already in place. There are other extra things that I am planning to built in and one of them is the installation of some special lights outdoors and indoors. I like Designers Fountain Lighting because the lamps are very durable and of good quality. One place where lighting is very important is my outdoor area because this is the place where I frequently received my guests. I also like that my main entrance would be inviting and welcoming that is why great lighting should in place.

I just recently joined for membership with Plantex. These are organic personal and household products that are very helpful and beneficial to use not only personal but also for the good of the environment. I never hesitated in enrolling myself with the company because I believe in their products. Very effective to use and specially in removing odors. At home, we are already users of the organic soap and toothpaste. Aside from the healthful benefits, I can also earn income whenever anybody would buy products from me. My personal aim here in not abut making profit but the good benefits as a user of Plantex. This is also one way of promoting Philippine made quality products for a good cause.

Yesterday we celebrated Father’s day at home though Tatay is not staying with us but with my brother. Great weekend because I was able to have more time in preparing for some sumptuous dishes for lunch and dinner. We sent a greeting text messages for him and keep in touch for any update. They are doing just fine in the province. For dinner I prepared a special chicken aloha where the chicken bought was the native/organic kind in the market. We feasted on it because it was a once in a while preparation at home. A simple day celebration of giving importance to the roles of a father in our lives.

The Lakers’ win Thursday night, behind superstar Kobe Bryant, sealed the team’s second-straight NBA Finals victory. I was also excited to watched the live telecast of my favorite game in the office’ television. I stopped working for an hour to watch the thrilling fourth quarter. It was a head to head scores between Lakers and Celtics. Both teams played well but in the end Lakers made it. Kobe Bryant is just as brilliant as ever! Best moves and best shots of him gave way to the Lakes for the 16th win. Great game!

Liempo is the belly part of pork and for this menu, I prepared some choice cuts of liempo. Marinate it in salt, soy sauce, pepper, seasonings and spices overnight. This is for the meat to thoroughly absorbed all the marinating ingredients. Deep fry until golden brown. Arranged into a serving platter and served with cucumber slices. For this menu, you don’t need some dipping because the liempo cuts are already savory and tasty. I am salivating while making this post.Yummy!

June 12 is one significant day for all the Filipinos because it is the declaration of the country’s independence from the Spanish colonization since 1898. It is already on its 112th year mark. Almost all places in the country are having activities in theme with the celebration. Here in the city, an early flag raising ceremony was held in the downtown district and being attended by various groups that include government agencies, business sectors, social civic groups and the public sectors. All the big malls in the city are having activities on their own for the independence day. It is always a happy day for me because it reminds me of the national freedom for the country.

I send a text message/birthday greetings to my friend Libby this morning as its her birthday today. Then this afternoon she made a long distance call and I am happy to keep in touch with her again. It seem she is just in the other side of the city. She told me that there will be a little celebration with her family in Brisbane later tonight. I am happy for our friendship that continues as it is used to be even if we are miles apart. I wish her all the best and more blessings for this another year of life. Happy birthday Libby!

It was a very memorable day yesterday as the nation witnessed the proclamation of the new elected President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III. He will be the 15th president of the republic. Together with him was vice president Jejomar Binay who also won on that seat. I feel so happy and proud that my candidate last May 10 national elections won. Many people attended the proclamation in the congress. It was star studded and many people greeted the two highest officials as they entered the congress building. Even though I watched the live telecast on television, I feel that I am part of the ceremony. Good luck President Noy!

I wake up this morning with flu ( fever, runny nose, muscle pains) but still managed to report at the office . It started yesterday when I woke up with harsh voice and sore throat. Before going to sleep I took 20 capsules of fern-C, non acidic vitamin C to strengthen my system as I was feeling weak already. My uploading work is not as fast as it used to be because of flu but still I am able to finish until 5:00pm. Good thing I still have an appetite and fernc really helped a lot to continue working today or else I would be absent for work. I am hoping that this flu would be over in the next days.

Everybody loves chicken including me. I was tired to cook last Thursday so my brother decided to bought some take out food for our dinner. Chook’s roasted chicken outlet served the best lechon manok so he bought one whole roast before going home. I prepared the table to be ready for eating time. The chicken pieces chopped, well roasted and smelled yum. We were silently eating and everybody was hungry that day. The chicken was cooked well and the ingredients were absorbed by the meat, very tender and juicy and every bite was just so delicious.
