Happy Halloween

Its scary time again. Many people are busy preparing for the Halloween – trick or treat, Halloween costumes, scary costume parade, scary movies and many more. Some popular scary figures are aswang, Dracula, Witch, woman without a head and skeleton man. Those who enjoy this horrific and fun adventures are usually young adults and children. In the mall this afternoon many costumes are on sale for the party.  Whatever you will do for this Halloween, hope it would be full of fun. Here is a saying –” Hark,hark to the wind! This is the night they say, when all the souls come back from far away – the dead forgotten this many a day..”

A light at night

I had nothing to do one evening at home. I brought my camera with me and went at the backyard to see what I can have for a shot at night. This street lamp post caught my attention. It is just a few houses away and the light from the mercury bulb was so bright that it almost covered the entire street. It is one important thing to remember nowadays that we must conserve energy. Just use electrical lights only when needed. Put off when not in use.

I am so happy to see the newly built bathroom at home. It’s almost  a month to finished it from flooring, septic tank excavation, masonry, interior designs and installation of bathtub, toilet and two pedestal sinks. A two thumbs up for the beautiful and creative designs of my cousin who is an engineer.Thanks also  for the great work of all the persons behind it. This is considered to be my personal investment for home comfort and I think theres nothing more satisfying than a very relax and comfortable home. My new bathroom is very modern with state of the art facilities. For sure my family and visitors would enjoy staying at home during vacations and reunions.

Life has be doing good  since the start of this week. My work is under my control and management and nothing to be on stress of.  I am always thankful for all the blessings for this week. It is always heart warming and humbling thoughts that in life there is always hope as long  as you continue to work hard, persistent and true in all the things that you do. To God be the glory!

My weekend was great indeed. I had a chance to talked to my friend Julie and her husband Bill. We had a great telephone conference for about two hours. They are residing in the state of Texas for more than five years already and living has been good and blessed for the couple.  Bill talked about his new job as a salesman of a food company. He is always on mobile and driving for long miles from state to state is very tough. He thought of buying a detective device for his car so that he can be aware of his speed. Bill is a meticulous guy and buying only the  best radar detectors can be of help to him.  He told me that it is one valuable gadget that really helps a lot anywhere he goes. We ended our conversation with lots of updates and helpful tips from each other’s end.

Another pasalubong

Last week my brother’s friend arrived from Singapore and he got this nice souvenir item from the “Lion City”. A tiny and light silver key chain just perfect for my loose keys. I can use this as an organizer of my room, main door, cabinet and office keys.  A simple “pasalubong” or give away from a tourist who remembered his friends being in other countries.  If I will be given an opportunity to have a vacation in southeast Asia, I can make Singapore on the  list of  my destination.

Another typhoon

According to the latest report from Pagasa ( local weather bureau), a tropical depression threatening to become another typhoon is coming in the country’s area of responsibility by Saturday noon. As of 5 a.m. Saturday, the depression – to be codenamed “Katring” upon entering Philippine territory was still 1,360 km east of Northern Luzon. It packed maximum winds of 55 kph and was moving west-northwest at 20 kph. Strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over the northern and western sections of Northern Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be rough. Moderate to strong winds coming from the southwest to south will prevail over the rest of Luzon and from the southwest over the rest of the country with moderate to rough seas.

Suicide on Gulf Air

I watched the television news yesterday and there was a reported suicide of a passenger on board the Gulf Airways  from Bahrain connecting in AbuDhabi UAE to Manila. It was devastating to see the family meeting the arrival of their son/husband who was already dead. There were reports that the passenger seemed to be problematic and not at eased when on board the plane. The police investigators were still looking for the evidences and probe on the incident.

My niece Kirsten who is a  pre-school kid got some skin problems lately. Her mommy was very worried because her cute and chubby daughter’s skin was infected by eczema.  I immediately told my cousin to know the treatment for eczema because it might lead to serious illnesses when not cured the soonest possible time. The little girl cried a lot and cannot sleep well. She even got absent from her classes because such skin problem affected her daily living. Now she is getting better and the redness and inflammation on her lower back slowly diminished. Get well soon baby girl.

Whats up today

I had all my time in the office for today. Since it is Wednesday lots of follow-ups and updates were expected and just coincided with the 15th day of the month. I have schedules for release today so many taxpayers got priority number and wait for their  turn. I was fed up of many one time transactions and I finished 75% of it. I still have the remaining papers left but hopefully be finished tomorrow morning. I bought some personal essentials at the grocery like conditioner, shampoo and detergent bar. Oh, I forgot to buy toothpaste. Anyway by tomorrow then. For now I am busy but happy  doing some posts in here.
