Transport strike

The public utility vehicles (jeepneys, taxis, buses) are on strike today. Though not all participated but the public transportation as a whole is paralyzed.  The office duty is not affected by this event so I have to report this morning for work. I ride in a bus going downtown and arrive in the office past nine o’clock in the morning. This is basically understandable because I wait in the crossing for the bus to ride on. I feel relax while in the office. Less work for today because there are only few taxpayers  present. Now I am having time updating my posts here but I will not stay long so that I can be home earlier because of the limited transportation going home in the downtown south bound area.

Income tax filing

I was not so busy yesterday in the office because I already finished some dues and deadlines before the 30th of March.  I had all my time to processed my income tax papers before the deadline on the fifteenth of the next month.  The income tax is for the year 2010 due  this year. I collected all the creditable taxes withheld forms that started from March up to June last year. Carefully computed and filed in order because I was accomplishing three copies for the revenue office. I typed it using a manual typewriter  in the designated form for my tax type. My end computation was refundable and I will be expecting a cash refund from it hopefully soon.

Cross stitched frame

I am spending time in my room today to arrange some personal stuffs. This cross stitched picture frame caught my attention today. My camera is always ready to have this shot. If I can remember the cross stitched patterned cloth was given by my cousin’s wife years ago. She asked me to had it framed and be my personal decor to have for home.  The Biblical verse is very meaningful and it always reminds me about the purpose of  daily living. I personally do not know how to cross stitched but I am always happy to received gifts like this. Hand crafted and made out of big efforts that is always worthy for keeps.

Outfit mix and match

Being in fashion is always a part of a womans’ lifestyle. However with the rising costs of living nowadays, fashion for me is being set aside.  In as much as I would like to be in modern and trendy clothes to wear in my daily work now I am being more practical and creative. I try to mix and match my old clothes with the latest styles. Pants, blouses, capri pants, blazers, tank tops, cardigans  and blazers to name some. These clothes are great to match with one another. Just be stylish in incorporating the colors and styles and for sure you’ll  look as great as always.

Burma earthquake

The country of Burma was not spared from the natural calamity as the country was hit by an earthquake of 6.8 magnitude.  The cracked highways can be seen on the picture and it was located in the northeastern region. The tremor mostly damaged near the Thailand border. I am thinking that the earth has already aged. It is old enough and so many calamities are happening in many parts of the world. Aside from the most devastating effect was that of Japan and here again with Burma. I hope the devastation would be lessened and that lives of people will be easily get recovered from this natural disaster.

Headache of the day

I wake up this morning feeling tired and not at ease compared to the previous days. Work is busy as usual. Good thing the rainy weather cooperates in the afternoon and not too many transactions until the office time out. I can feel a slight pain on my temple. The pain is tolerable though but if I am working it is quite bothering for me. This is often associated with my monthly period as pms syndrome. If the pain is tolerable, I never take pain killers. Instead I smell a menthol eucalyptos  and put some on my temple and the pain slowly fades away.  It is hard having headaches. But with so many stress contributors in life, headache is often times cannot be avoided.

Prom days are here again and as usual many young people are looking for nice and fashionable prom dresses 2011 that best fit to the modern generation.  My prom day during high school was also memorable as I can remember. I savored the moment and enjoyed the evening with my classmates. The cocktails and drinks were so lavished as well as the hall decorations. Most of all the most anticipated were the ladies’ gowns and dresses. The who’s who in the prom carpet that would stand out in the crowd. For me the gown or dress depends on how you carry and be confident about yourself.  The dress need not be costly but of good fit, material and quality.

We were very excited during the arrival of my cousin from abroad. It has been quite sometime since he was home for vacation.  His presence was full of happiness and pride for the family for being the head and the financial supporter. He was so generous and kind to help each one of us especially in the financial problems. Some of his presents to each one of us were samsung cameras. For me the camera is very useful especially on my online activities. I can take pictures anywhere I goes and upload it on the computer for important posts. Capturing beautiful and unforgettable events is great by using the latest digital cameras.

Radiation worries in Japan

The recent earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan brought a worldwide chaos and worries. Though the country Philippines  is far but the radiation fears are growing on Japan’s neighboring countries. The nuclear reactors are being closely monitored  and the latest news state that steams rises from stricken nuclear plant. This is very alarming and careful and thorough monitoring should be made by the government of Japan in order to avoid the possible harmful leaks that are very dangerous the health of the people. I am always keeping myself an update on what the latest news. It is always important to be in touch with the world as the situation at present times are unpredictable.
