Couple in split

I have seen on television for some years about the power couple Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. I admired their relationship because for such a long time they had been together as a family. Just recently there was a news about their break-up after twenty five years of marriage.  It was sad to hear because for a western people such number of years is already a great achievement in a relationship and it stand through tests of times. Alas theirs is not also spared from Hollywood splitsville controversies. There is a news today that Arnold had been unfaithful to his wife and his family for admitting that he fathered a love child for ten years already. I think this triggered his relationship with Maria and caused their decision to separate ways.

Pawn renewal

I checked out my pawn records and I have one schedule for renewal today. My first activity when I reach the downtown district this afternoon is to drop by first at the pawnshop and pay the renewal fee of my pawned jewelry. I had been into financial difficulties the past months and I opted to pawned some of my priced belongings to be able to met with my financial obligations. It was very hard in the real sense of the word. I had to look some means to be able to pay my immediate dues. I am very thankful that this pawnshop offers high appraisal of value at low interest rates. I hope I can manage all my dues and payables in the next coming months.

Our family will be celebrating the eightieth birthday of our grandfather and everybody are busy this time in preparation for this grand celebration. My grandfather has been the great mentor for the family and each one of us always pay respect for his hard work and dedication. I can remember him during his younger years and that he taught me on my assignments in school. He was always supportive and concerned for the family. For his prime years I would like him to enjoy life to the fullest because he always deserve one.  My grandfather invested so many material and emotional supports and for his birthday I would like to give him cheap macanudo cigars. This is my little present for him on his little happiness and I hope he will use them only in moderation just for past times.I am already excited for the next week’s grand event and looking forward for its success.

Hotdog in bun treat

It is Friday once again and this is a lucky Friday the thirteenth. Though busy and occupied with my daily work I am happy to receive a hotdog in a bun with some cheese toppings  and ground meat sauce from the administrative section later this afternoon. Freshly baked hot when given to me and it is yummy indeed to fill in my hungry stomach to finish the day’s transactions. With this kind food treat I think working in the office will give you happiness and energy to perform job functions as compared to nothing at all.  There is that sense of energy in ones self when your efforts are being recognized and given treats even in food treat like this. I hope there will be more treats next week to help alleviate the daily stress of the people particularly in my section.

Online romance week

I just read that this week is online romance week. What a nice celebration it would be if you have some special online buddy that keep you in the internet. Online dating has been very popular years ago and even until this time. But I noticed that it is no longer like before where you can still find some real person. Now most are rude, non sense and just a plain trash in the bin. I must admit that I had been addicted about online romance for once in my life. It was those times where I was so obsessed by the internet. Later I realized that it was all fantasies left with in the strokes of the keyboard  and in the instant messaging screen. I never regret those time because I met friends and it was also a happy and enjoyable moments for me. I would consider it as an eye opener and a learning experience that real romance exists with a real person.

Noddles combination

A picture of noodles (rice noodles and Pancit) mixed together as part of the menu that I cooked this weekend. I enjoyed taking some pictures of the ingredients before cooking. The tiny white noodles is vermicelli kind made from rice while the flat yellow one is a local noodle specialty usually made of beans (mongo). There are many kinds of pancit kind of noodles and I choose this flat one. It can be used for soupy noodles (lomi) or satemi dishes. These noodles need not require thorough washing or soaking in water. This is preserved the noodles’ crispness and whole textures.

Stormy weather

I am quite frustrated with the weather today because it rains this afternoon. All the while I am expecting a sunny Saturday  because it is my wash day schedule. I have to hang under the roof some  clothes  that I washed so that it will not get totally wet under the rain. According to the weather bureau, Luzon and Visayas parts of the country are experiencing a typhoon and maybe the weather here in the city is being affected by such weather disturbance. Also it said that this typhoon might cause floods and landslides in some areas. When I  ride going to the downtown district this afternoon I can see the clouds in the sky starting to get dark and heavy rain fall is expected by night time.

Get happy week

I think I was happiness-deprived for the past months of my life. There were so many issues/things that hindered me to be happy during those times. Good thing there is “get happy week” to celebrate. In somehow I see many cute cards that convey happy messages and sending some cheerful moments. Smiles and giggles just make my day happy again.

Lip protection

The ultraviolet rays of the sun is harmful at present especially that it is summer time. I bought this lip protection balm because the older one that I used was already consumed a week ago. My day always starts with putting a lip balm before I go out to start my daily activities especially at work. The cool air conditioning in the office makes my lips dry fast. Re touching with a lip balm is very often for me. This is flavored with cherry and every time I apply it, my lips tastes like very fruity one and  moisturize as well. After this I can already put on my favorite lipsticks with  shades of creamy brown, shimmering orange and passion pink. When this one will be consumed in the next months I will try to buy another new flavor with the same kind of lip protection.
