Bonifacio day

Today is the last day for the month of November. It is a regular non working holiday and marked red on the country’s calendar. I am feeling good because I have all my time at home doing some unfinished mess from the weekend’s family reunion. Good thing I already recovered from the stress brought about by the week’s events.  Usually during a non working holiday, I wake up late in the morning. This is to give myself some more time to dwell on my bed until waking up.  Breakfast is done at past eight thirty in the morning. I take my lunch earlier so that I can still attend to my personal needs at noon time. I spend about three hours in the afternoon taking a sleep to complete my afternoon break. At night I cook dinner earlier and spend some more time in extracting the magic fruit juice to be stored in the refrigerator for some healthy  personal juice drink. I have to thank this day as a great time to stay at home and be free from the weekdays’ busy life.

Watching movies is one of my favorite past time at home. Before I used to rent a digital video disc from a movie shop. The schedule depends on the kind of movie. If recent, the rental time is only for twenty four hours and if it was an old kind maybe three days the most. With the fast changing times, such video rental business already faded and it is now replace by a high technology of the internet where you can download video or any kind of movie (take note, the latest) that you would like to watch.  Downloading is so easy in the internet with a fast  connection. I can already watch my favorite movie on my computer at home together with my siblings. I hope to update myself with the latest movie trailer when I have time this coming weekend.

Fashion ring

I am always fascinated with some fashion accessories just like this ring that was given to me by my cousin when she recently visited home. It is made of a silver metal that can match with any casual get up or attire to have. The rose shaped design is nice and girly to wear on my right hand  middle finger. For me fashion is an endless way of styling oneself. By mixing up different wardrobe and paired with fashionable chunky accessories, that makes up a trendy woman of today’s  fast paced time.

I was doing some groceries the other day for home in preparation for the family reunion. The line up of people to pay their bills in the cashier was quite long as they waited for their turn to be served. I was in the middle of the line and I was very patient to wait until I reached the cashier area. When my purchased goods were being scanned, I really was amazed because they are using a high end, state of the art symbol barcode scanner. It can easily read and swiped the priced items to be immediately registered into the computer terminal for a summed  up my purchases. The paying process in the grocery shop is faster now because of that high end scanning gadget.

Family reunion

I am off for office work today as I decided to go home in the province to spend time with my family and relatives for a short family reunion. I leave home at mid morning already. The hours of travel take about more that four hours. Actually it would only be three hours. Some of the roads are being repaired and under construction which cause a heavy build up of traffic. The bus that I am riding have to fall in line in its turn to give way to other commuting transportation. I am feeling hungry, thirsty and sweaty already. I arrive home at past two o’clock in the afternoon already. Every body is happy. Hugging, kissing and missing with each other are never ending. Quite a long time though since we seen each other.  The chats, updates and keeping in touch are endless that we almost forget that it is already dawn and we have not yet sleep. Many foods are being prepared and serve for us- stew meats, pasta,fruits, desserts and many more. It is a great family reunion for me and looking forward for more reunions again hopefully next year.

A special day to celebrate my blessings for this year. Through the ups and downs of life, I am very grateful that in spite of it all, there is always that continued faith, hope and trust to God who is the supreme One who knows what is just for my life. I give thanks with a grateful heart and looking forward for many more bountiful blessings now and in the coming years ahead.

Early Christmas gift

My cousin dropped by at home for an overnight sleep before going to the province last week. It was  unexpected for me because she just visited us few months ago. I received my early Christmas gift and it feels so happy to be remembered by my dear cousin. A pair of doll shoes! It is colored gray , closed flat shoes that I can wear in my daily activities. I am thinking that this would be very nice to be paired with some skinny jeans and a nice tank top blouse. Perfect for the coming office party this Christmas.  My cousin perfectly got my shoe size. This is always something to be grateful specially to close family relatives who are continuously blessings to us.

Afternoon treat

This week has been busy and I was longing for some delicious food treat to compensate the stress brought about by a lot of work. This afternoon y longing is finally answered. Delicious food treat is being feasted by everyone – creamy moist mocha cake in creamy chocolate toppings and pizza platters in Hawaiian, beefy and bacon toppings. I eat a lot of the food servings because I am hungry from the work load that I am doing. It feels very satisfying and grateful whenever I can eat delicious food treat. I have to thank the man who sponsored our meals this afternoon and hoping there will be another one like this the next time around.

New uniforms

We were issued in the office a new uniform (blouse) and already required to wear them on the prescribed working days. Actually I am already wearing the said uniforms for more that two weeks already.  These blouses are scheduled every Monday and Tuesday. I pair them with a black trousers or slacks and a flat or heeled black shoes.  I am very particular about the neatness and well pressed clothing and so I see to it that these uniforms are always clean and tidy when I wear in the office. The clothing material is best suited to the air conditioned environment in the office. Sometimes I bring with me a blazer to make my get  up more formal to look. I hope these uniforms can sustain as my office clothes in the next coming months.

Menthol ointment

It is sometimes unavoidable to feel dizzy and tired  from the daily stress of life and living. For me it is not good to take a medicine for headache that is just slight brought about by stress. I always have with me this menthol ointment at home. Before sleeping, I put some on the temples of the head, back of the neck, arms, shoulders and even the legs. The menthol is soothing to the skin that it can relieve the pain from the stress and over work. It costs cheap and affordable for personal use. I can easily get asleep with the menthol as it aids to good night rest. My siblings always shares this with me as it is also helpful for their wellness.
