Chicken macaroni salad

A few hours from now I will be celebrating the Christmas together with my siblings  at home. I am busy in preparing for a pasta treat to feast tonight. This is a chicken macaroni salad as requested by everyone.  I boiled the pasta according to cooking directions then combined with ingredients like shredded chicken breast, red plum, coconut gelatin, cheddar cheese, condensed milk, mayonnaise, crushed pineapple and choice raisins.  It is important to adjust the sweetness and also to mix thoroughly so that all the ingredients will all blend together.  Chilled for at least five hours before serving. The taste is so inviting and my brother cant stop having it as a dessert after every meal. Delicious chicken macaroni salad just perfect for the holidays.

Mini rice cooker gift

One of the gifts that I am thankful to received this Christmas was this mini rice cooker given by a generous company who have lots of transactions in the office. I had been in charge in processing of their transactions and perhaps this was their way of being grateful for the service that I rendered to them. The rice cooker is very handy for personal use.  It has a maximum capacity of three cups of rice to cook. Good to use when I am only one. There is also a mini steamer included in the package that I can use to steam foods ready for serving.  Now I can include this mini rice cooker as one of my kitchen appliances at home. Thank you for this gift!

Office Christmas party

The office celebrated the year’s Christmas party yesterday and the event was attended by all the office’ employees, staff and officials of the district. The day started with a mass in the morning. I was still doing some office works though but not as busy as the usual working days.  The party started at five o’clock in the afternoon. Parlor games first and I won in our section’s participation. (Good start!) Each of the section had to do a presentation and my section was the first one to perform a musical and drama skit.  Some performers were quite apprehensive about their roles because they might not be able to perform well. Good thing we ended as good as expected. Other sections also performed with entries like dancing, drama nativity, showtime effects and more. Everybody was laughing, howling and clapping in the performances of the section  groups. We all emerged as winners and all happy to received the cash gifts from the district officer. We were so hungry after such enjoyable performances. A buffet dinner was served before us – roasted pig, rice, stir fried noodles, baked macaroni pasta, fish in clack beans sauce, cakes, buko pandan desserts, fruits, lettuce salad with dressings,  beef stew, fried chicken, breaded fish fillet and more delicious foods. Sharing of individual gifts was the last activity that we had and everyone enjoyed the party as always.  I am always grateful for such wonderful Christmas party this year.

non 12 step program

I visited my friend the other day in his home. Quite far though because it took me almost two hours of land travel to reached his location. He suffered from a severe depression that really affected himself and his family. Isolation from his groups, friends and office mates and just  being with himself almost led him to end his life. It was very difficult especially to his family who has been though hard times with him.  My friend looked and smiled when he saw me. He never thought that I was going to visit him. His sister told me that he is getting better now as compared to his behavior months a ago. Now he starts communicating himself and seems eager to reach out with the world. His family really made a effort to help him on the  rehabilitation  process.  They let him join on the non 12 step program that enables the patient to recover faster and the process has  great results as far as the behavior of my friend is concerned. I am hoping that he can recover the soonest time so that he can be back to normal life again.

Movie watch – Ghost protocol

Me and my siblings have been planning to watch the mission impossible – ghost protocol movie the last time it was played as a trailer. Now it is finally realized.  We had a last full show (LFS) on the cinema of a mall. The movie was simply the best among the mission impossible movies of actor Tom Cruise.  I like his actions and stunts. It is still about agent Ethan Hunt who had to do some risk taking missions in countries like  India , Dubai and Russia. The whole casts are fantastic and I can see the high technology kinds of gadgets as well as the tricks and quick moves of the leading actor and actress.  The movie was almost two hours and my eyes never closed just to watch every minute and details of the actions. I hope to see some  nice and blockbuster movies next year.

Christmas gift certificates

I went to the mall where I often do my grocery shopping and checked out the points that I earned on my shoppers card for the past six months. The sales agent verified my status in the computer data base and found out that I already earned eighty thousand points equivalent to two hundred pesos worth of gift certificates. Very good timing because I can use such coupons for my gift purchases on the coming Christmas party in the office. I immediately proceeded to the fifth floor where the redemption center was located. I presented my card and the in charge process the validity and the worth of my card. She gave me two pieces of certificates at one hundred each. I felt so happy and blessed because I can have something to buy for the holiday season.

log cabin furniture

I just finished some home improvements last week. This is in preparation for the coming holidays where my relatives will be having a reunion and I will host the said occasion.  Quite stressful for me because I was the one who conceptualized and made the planning on the interior furnishings. I was very meticulous that I wanted every detail as quality as possible.  On the living room I bought some new furnishings that were made from the log cabin furniture that I used to bought when I did some renovations in my own bedroom before. The quality of the said furniture is very good. Durable and at the same time very stylish and modern.  I place such furniture  in the center of the living room that it may serve with multi function use. I am looking happy and contented with the end results of my home improvements.

Good personal hygiene is very important for me because I consider cleanliness as next to godliness ( according to the old saying). It is very true actually. I received this mild beauty soap from my cousin when she had a vacation at home last week of November.  Very good then because I am using a mild soap as well since I have a sensitive kind of skin. I am particular of the quality of the soap now because some commercial brands have harsh ingredients that can easily irritate my skin especially on my legs, lower back and thigh areas. A very mild beauty soap like this helps moisturizes my skin even in daily use. I will only be the one who will use this soap and it would usually lasts for more that a month depending on usage.

The holiday season is here again. For me this is the most wonderful time of the year. People are already busy on church preparations, food purchases and shopping. Well I am one of those who is also excited to avail of the holiday sale especially in women’s apparels, clothing, bags, cosmetics, kitchen appliances and more enticing items to see in the mall. I feel so bless because last week I was able to avail of the best buy coupons.  The said coupons were given to me as my incentive being a frequent shopper. My credits amounted to almost five thousand points and such earnings can already be a great shopping advantage for me. My Christmas is truly wonderful and I have many plans this week to shop together with my family.  I am already excited on what to buy for my coupons and of course I will not forget to buy something special for myself as a remembrance for this year.
