HK Disneyland

A fairytale adventures in Hongkong Disneyland of friends Jof, Ann and Gen. This was taken during the parade of Disney cartoon characters. Everyone were so excited to see the different animated characters in their famous costumes live and waving to the onlookers. This place is said to be the happiest place on earth where your fantasy becomes a reality. That is so true according to the vacationers ( 3 friends) who just arrived from their HK escapades. Their Disneyland adventures was memorable and they really enjoyed all the rides, sites and fun in that place.

September already

Its exciting to wake up today, the first day for the month of September. Of course we are already entering the “ber” months. Everybody is already thinking about Christmas. The celebration here in the Philippines is so long because at ber months the holidays already begin. There were many sad and happy events that happened for the past months. I am hoping that the celebration of the upcoming Christmas will be hopeful, optimistic, blessed, prosperous and peaceful. Three months to go for this year 2010.

Hostage crisis

The nation has been devastated by the bloody hostage taking a week ago. It happened when an out of service policeman held hostage the tourist bus where mostly Hongkong nationals were on board. Many died and some wounded as it brought hate and anger of Chinese and Hongkong people to the Filipinos. It was a very tragic moment and I personally pity those innocent tourists who were the victims of the said hostage. For sure this creates a bad image to the country and many blamed the authorities, media, government etc. This has to end now and the government find solution solutions so that it will never happen again.

Smile month

I never thought that there is a smile month in every year. Well regardless of the celebration its always good to smile. Its a very ordinary gesture but has lots of meaning on it. It can be happiness, excitement, delighted, eager, friendly gesture, positive facial expression and many more. A person who is smiling has a positive appeal. Very open and a welcoming approach and that can be contagious to all. Smile is also good for the health because less muscles are used unlike frowning where the face uses a lot. There are many ups and downs in life especially at this time. Hope we can always see the brighter side of it and keep on smiling.

Office party

The office celebrated this morning the birthday of the district officer. Everybody enjoyed and feasted with delicious foods served for all the staff and employees. Foods served during lunch time were crispy roasted pig, stir fried noodles, lumpia shanghai, grilled fish, kinilaw, dinuguan, fruits (watermelon & banana), cakes and soft drinks. I feel bloated after too much eating and I even brought some take home lechon for home. I can make lechon paksiw out of this pork bones and ribs. What a party!

3rd year anniversary gifts

My cousin Pete and her wife Neng will be celebrating their third year wedding anniversary this coming September 8. This couple is so close to me because I used to stay with them for the past two years. They supported me during those times when I was financially distressed. I have a big gratitude to this couple so in my own little way I am planning to give them some special 3rd year anniversary gifts. Third year wedding anniversary is leather and this Anniversary Bear wearing t-shirt holding a single stem leather rose will be a perfect gift for them. It took me some time to look for the right gift and I am glad to find a site that offers products for the said occasion.There are many other anniversary gifts by year that you can choose on the site. My gift is already on shipment and the couple will received it on time for their special day. I remember that Julie will also celebrate her wedding anniversary just the same with my cousin. Good timing because I have lots of 3rd year anniversary gifts to choose online for her.

What an exciting day for the country! Miss Philippines Venus Raj got the 4th runner up title on this year’s Miss Universe beauty pageant. It was not easy for her because for the past months she was almost dethroned of the title and cannot represent the country for the Miss Universe. The organizers found some inconsistencies on her birth certificate. But Venus fought for her right and tried her best just to get the title back. Her struggles paved way for what she achieved in the contest. The country is so proud of you.Congratulations!

NDP Workshop

I attended a 2 days workshop conducted by Fern. It was the 18th NDP speaker’s workshop held at the Grand Menseng Hotel here in Davao City. I enjoyed the fun of being with different kinds of people from other cities/provinces of the country. The workshop was all about building and developing ones network with the use of the new marketing plans and strategies. Aside from this, it was also a way of learning about the business through fun and entertaining ways. It personally changed my own perspective and in somehow developed my personality as far as life in general are concerned. A truly meaningful and memorable event for me.

Local holiday

Today is declared as non working holiday of the local city government in celebration of the kadayawan festival. There is no office and classes in the entire city. Everybody are encouraged to join the celebration. There will be live music bands, floral parade, street dancing and many more festivities. All the malls in the city are on midnight sale so the people will have to be awake late at night taking those sale items in the department stores and groceries. I might be able to see the activities on Sunday because I am attending a 3 day live in workshop at the hotel.

computer reviews

My main plan for this year is to buy a new computer because I can no longer use the old one that I have at home. It is already in the standby mode and the programs are already obsolete. I am reading some computer reviews to get many informations that I wanted to know as far as computers are concerned. One thing to consider is the software because it involves the internal as well as the external system. I would like to buy a laptop computer for my personal use so I can carry it with me while travelling or sitting at the downtown district so I can hook up and connect to update my emails, blogs and other internet activities. Also I like to have a desktop computer for home use of my siblings, nephews,nieces and relatives because they are also computer geeks. I hope to realized these plans the soonest possible time.
